The Madura College, Madurai chooses ROVAN EMS

The Madura College, Madurai, one of the premier higher educational institutions in Tamil Nadu has chosen ROVAN EMS, Examination Management System Software to administer the Office of The Controller of Examinations.

The college which became autonomous in 1978 has a rich history of innovation in the field of higher education. The CoE office was computerised during early 80s well ahead of others.

Now ROVAN EMS will incorporate all the facilities available in the old system and extend the functions further to suit today’s advanced requirements.

 

About the College

With more than 135 years of service, The Madura College is one of the oldest academic institutions in Tamil Nadu, India. In 1880, a college department was added to the Zilla School that was established in 1856.

The college offers undergraduate courses in eight disciplines, postgraduate courses in nine disciplines, M. Phil. course in one discipline in the aided stream.

The college offers undergraduate courses in eight disciplines, postgraduate course in four disciplines, M.Phil. course in two disciplines, and a postgraduate diploma course in Computer Applications in the self-financing stream.

Five departments of the college are recognized as research centres by the Madurai Kamaraj University.

It has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with ‘A’ grade with a CGPA of 3.32.

Madura College was granted the autonomous status in 1978 along with the very first group of autonomy colleges in India.
